Prices Explained

Focus on Africa is part of Focus on Planet Earth, which is a project of the Community Planet Foundation, a not for profit foundation created to end poverty and violence on planet Earth and have everyone living a life of abundance. Your participation in one of these expeditions is important if you care about the future of life in Africa. If you have a passion for some place else on our planet, we invite to visit Focus on Planet Earth.

How is the retail price of an expedition determined?
The price is determined by all of the pieces that make up the expedition such as the quality of the photographer leader, accommodation costs (we only use deluxe or luxury accommodation, meals, game park fees, transfers, the number of people in a vehicle, etc.

Why is the photographer’s price so much lower?

Because of the mission and goals of Focus on Africa, ground handlers, lodges and camps provide Focus on Africa with large discounts in support of creating responsible and sustainable tourism in Africa. They have learned that visual communication works to motivate Americans to visit Africa and experience the ultimate holiday – An African safari, the vacation that never ends!

Also, in order to qualify for the Photographer’s Price, you must agree to the Photographer’s Terms and Conditions. If you fail to fulfill these Terms and Conditions, you will be invoiced for the difference between the Retail Price and the Photographer’s Price.

My traveling companion is really not a photographer. Can he/she qualify as a photographer and get the photographers price as long as she agrees to the terms and conditions?
This project is about eliminating poverty and violence in Africa. If you believe in the everyone-for-them self-system, then Focus on Africa is probably not for you. If you want to be a positive instrument for changing Africa and our world for the better and help us improve the interconnected environmental, political, hunger, health, and conflicts in many area of Africa and hold the consciousness of the greater good for all people on our planet, we welcome your participation.
